New Zealand pr after Study

New Zealand is undeniably one of the most sought after countries to settle and earn a prosperous livelihood. And that’s why it is also a popular destination for students from all over the world. Packed with natural lush breathtaking landscapes, a decent economy, modern infrastructures, and a low unemployment rate. Working in New Zealand after studies can be extremely gratifying. But for that, you need to have a permanent visa. Now the big question is what are the ways to get the visa to work after study?

Well! You have up to 3 years after the completion of your studies to apply for a visa to work. You should have the necessary qualification from a reputed university.

The duration of the visa could be from 1,2, or 3 years depending on your qualification. It also depends on, where you have completed your studies?

After you successfully complete a degree from any of the reputed universities in New Zealand, the next stage is to apply for the right type of visa, with regards to the job opportunity at hand. This can be categorized into the following:

Post-Study Work VISA (Open)

This visa is a flexible option for the students who have completed their study, but are still not employed. This visa gives you the surety to stay in the country for one year during which you will have the opportunity to find a job relating to your area of study or research. In the meanwhile, you are permitted to work in any field, in order to meet ends in New Zealand.

Post-Study Work VISA (Employer Assisted)

On the other hand, this visa is not flexible with the kind of job you choose, after study. The visa gives you an opportunity to search for a specific job role with a specific employer. But you have to make sure that you apply for this visa three months in advance before your student visa expires.

How to get the New Zealand PR (Permanent Residency) after study?

As we all are aware a student visa is a must for students who travel to New Zealand to complete a particular course, program, training, or even go to school, which has a duration of at least three months. Some of the most common visas that students above the age of 18 apply are the Exchange Student Visa, Fee Paying Student Visa, Pathway Student Visa, and Foreign Government Supported Student Visa. For the candidates, who have lived for at least two years in the country and wish to get a Permanent Residence Visa, it is a little hard to determine the duration of the visa validation.

Please note that Permanent Resident Visa and Resident Visa are two different terms.
